It reached him that Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Bakr came in to see Ayesha, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, on the day Saad bin Abu Waqqas died, and he called for water for wudu.Ayesha said to him, "Abdul-Rahman, perform the wudu thoroughly, for I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Woe to the heels from the Fire.'"
أنه بلغه: أن عبد الرحمن بن أبي بكر قد دخل على عائشة زوج النبي ﷺ يوم مات سعد بن أبي وقاص، فدعا بوضوء، فقالت له عائشة: يا عبد الرحمن! أسبغ الوضوء، فإني سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول: ويل للأعقاب من النار.
