A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and asked him about the time of the dawn prayer. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said nothing to him. Then the next day he prayed the dawn prayer as soon as Fajr broke, and the day after that he prayed the dawn prayer once the light had spread. Then he asked, "Where is the man who asked about the time of the prayer?"The man replied, "Here I am, Messenger of Allah."He said, "The time is between these two."
و حدثني يحيى عن مالك عن زيد بن أسلم
جاء رجل إلى رسول الله ﷺ فسأله عن وقت صلاة الصبح قال فسكت عنه رسول الله ﷺ حتى إذا كان من الغد صلى الصبح حين طلع الفجر ثم صلى الصبح من الغد بعد أن أسفر ثم قال أين السائل عن وقت الصلاة قال هأنذا يا رسول الله فقال ما بين هذين وقت
