The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "By Him in whose hand my soul is, I was on the point of ordering firewood to be gathered, then ordering the prayer and having the call to prayer given for it, then appointing a man to lead the people, and then going off to certain men and burning their houses down upon them. By Him in whose hand my soul is, if any one of them knew he would find a meaty bone or two good sheep's hooves, he would be present for the evening prayer."
و حدثني عن مالك عن أبي الزناد عن الأعرج
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال والذي نفسي بيده لقد هممت أن آمر بحطب فيحطب ثم آمر بالصلاة فيؤذن لها ثم آمر رجلا فيؤم الناس ثم أخالف إلى رجال فأحرق عليهم بيوتهم والذي نفسي بيده لو يعلم أحدهم أنه يجد عظما سمينا أو مرماتين حسنتين لشهد العشاء
