It reached him that a man sneezed on Friday while the imam was delivering the sermon, and a person beside him invoked a blessing on him. He asked Saeed bin Musayab about this, and Saeed forbade him from doing so, saying, "Do not do it again."
أنه بلغه: أن رجلا عطس يوم الجمعة، والإمام يخطب، فشمته إنسان إلى جنبه، فسأل عن ذلك سعيد بن المسيب.فنهاه عن ذلك، وقال: لا تعد.
