Ayesha reported,

A beggar once asked Ayesha for something while she was fasting, and there was nothing in her house but a single loaf of bread. She said to a freedwoman of hers, "Give it to him."The woman replied, "Then you will have nothing to break your fast with."Ayesha said, "Give it to him."The woman said, "So I did. And when evening came, a household, or a certain man, who used to send us gifts sent us a sheep along with its covering. Ayesha, Umm Muiminin, called me over and said, 'Eat, eat your fill of this. This is better than your loaf of bread.'"

وحدثني عن مالك: أنه بلغه

عن عائشة زوج النبي ﷺ

أن مسكينا سألها وهي صائمة، وليس في بيتها إلا رغيف، فقالت لمولاة لها: أعطيه إياه. فقالت: ليس لك ما تفطرين عليه، فقالت: أعطيه إياه. قالت: ففعلت. قالت: فلما أمسينا أهدى لنا أهل بيت - أو إنسان - ما كان يهدي لنا شاة، وكفنها. فدعثني عائشة أم المؤمنين، فقالت: كلي كفي. من هذا، هذا خير من قرصك.
