A slave woman belonging to Abdullah bin Umar bin Khattab was seen by Umar bin Khattab after she had adorned herself in the manner of free women. So Umar went in to his daughter Hafsah and said, "Did I not see that slave girl moving about among the people, dressed up in the manner of free women?" And Umar disapproved of that.
أن أمة كانت لعبد الله بن عمر بن الخطاب، رآها عمر بن الخطاب، وقد تهيأت بهيئة الحرائر، فدخل على ابنته حفصة، فقال. ألم أر جارية أحببت غوش الناس، وقد تهيأت بهيئة الحرائر؟ وأنكر ذلك عمر.
