The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade killing the snakes found in houses, except for the one with two white streaks on its back and the one with a stumpy tail, for these two snatch away eyesight and cause women to lose what is in their wombs.
و حدثني مالك عن نافع
أن رسول الله ﷺ نهى عن قتل الجنان التي في البيوت إلا ذا الطفيتين والأبتر فإنهما يخطفان البصر ويطرحان ما في بطون النساء
