Abu Qatada said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "I have thick hair that hangs to my shoulders. Should I comb it out?"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Yes, and treat it well."So Abu Qatada would sometimes oil his hair twice a day, because the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had told him, "Yes, and treat it well."
حدثني عن مالك عن يحيى بن سعيد أن
لرسول الله ﷺ إن لي جمة أفأرجلها فقال رسول الله ﷺ نعم وأكرمها فكان أبو قتادة ربما دهنها في اليوم مرتين لما قال له رسول الله ﷺ نعم وأكرمها
