Yahya bin Saeed reported,

Umar bin Khattab came upon Jabir bin Abdullah, who was carrying a load of meat.Umar asked, "What is this?"Jabir replied, "Commander of the Faithful, we had a craving for meat, so I bought a dirham's worth."Umar said, "Does not one of you wish to keep his stomach empty for the sake of his neighbor or his cousin? Where has this verse gone from your minds? 'You consumed your good things in your worldly life and enjoyed them' [Ahqaf 46:20]"

و حدثني عن مالك

عن يحيى بن سعيد

أن عمر بن الخطاب أدرك جابر بن عبد الله ومعه حمال لحم فقال ما هذا فقال يا أمير المؤمنين قرمنا إلى اللحم فاشتريت بدرهم لحما فقال عمر أما يريد أحدكم أن يطوي بطنه عن جاره أو ابن عمه أين تذهب عنكم هذه الآية {أذهبتم طيباتكم في حياتكم الدنيا واستمتعتم بها}
