I asked Abu Saeed Khudri about the lower garment, and he said, "I can tell you with certainty. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'The believer's garment should reach the middle of his shins. There is no harm in it falling anywhere between that point and the ankles. Whatever hangs below that is in the Fire, whatever hangs below that is in the Fire. On the Day of Resurrection Allah will not look at anyone who drags his garment out of arrogance.'"

سألت أبا سعيد الخدري عن الإزار فقال أنا أخبرك بعلم سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول إزرة المؤمن إلى أنصاف ساقيه لا جناح عليه فيما بينه وبين الكعبين ما أسفل من ذلك ففي النار ما أسفل من ذلك ففي النار لا ينظر الله يوم القيامة إلى من جر إزاره بطرا
