Abu Ghatafan bin Tarif Murri reported,

Marwan bin Hakam sent him to Abdullah bin Abbas to ask what was due for a molar tooth.Abdullah bin Abbas answered, "Five camels for it."Marwan then sent him back to Abdullah bin Abbas with the question, "Do you make the front teeth equal to the molars?"Abdullah bin Abbas replied, "If you had nothing to judge this by except the fingers, their blood money is the same."

و حدثني يحيى عن مالك عن داود بن الحصين

عن أبي غطفان بن طريف المري أنه أخبره

أن مروان بن الحكم بعثه إلى عبد الله بن عباس يسأله ماذا في الضرس فقال عبد الله بن عباس فيه خمس من الإبل قال فردني مروان إلى عبد الله بن عباس فقال أتجعل مقدم الفم مثل الأضراس فقال عبد الله بن عباس لو لم تعتبر ذلك إلا بالأصابع عقلها سواء
