A man from the tribe of Banu Saad bin Layth raced a horse, and it trod on the finger of a man from Juhaynah. The wound festered and the man died.Umar bin Khattab said to those against whom the claim was brought, "Will you swear fifty oaths by Allah that he did not die from it?"They refused, holding back out of fear of sin.He then said to the other party, "Will you swear, then?"They too refused.So Umar bin Khattab ruled that the Saadis pay half the blood money.

أن رجلا من بني سعد بن ليث أجرى فرسا فوطئ على إصبع رجل من جهينة فنزي منها فمات فقال عمر بن الخطاب للذي ادعي عليهم أتحلفون بالله خمسين يمينا ما مات منها فأبوا وتحرجوا وقال للآخرين أتحلفون أنتم فأبوا فقضى عمر بن الخطاب بشطر الدية على السعديين
