The Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressed the people during one of his military expeditions. Abdullah bin Umar said, "I set out toward him, but he finished and left before I could reach him. So I asked what he had said, and I was told that he had forbidden steeping drinks in gourds and in vessels coated with pitch."
