The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the sale known as habal al-habala, a transaction the people of the age of ignorance used to practice. A man would buy a camel to be paid for when the she-camel gave birth, and then when the offspring in her womb gave birth in turn.

أن رسول الله ﷺ نهى عن بيع حبل الحبلة وكان بيعا يتبايعه أهل الجاهلية كان الرجل يبتاع الجزور إلى أن تنتج الناقة ثم تنتج التي في بطنها
