A man bought the fruit of an orchard during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He worked on it and tended it until the loss became clear to him, so he asked the owner of the orchard either to reduce the price for him or to cancel the sale. The owner swore that he would not do so.The buyer's mother went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and told him about it, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "He has sworn an oath not to do good."The owner of the orchard heard of this, so he came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, it is his."
