The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to a man from Thakeef who had accepted Islam while having ten wives at the time he became Muslim, "Keep four of them and separate from the rest."
و حدثني يحيى عن مالك
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال لرجل من ثقيف أسلم وعنده عشر نسوة حين أسلم الثقفي أمسك منهن أربعا وفارق سائرهن
