Urwa bin Zubayr used to say concerning the child of a woman condemned by mutual imprecation and the child born of fornication that when such a child dies, his mother inherits her share as fixed in the Book of Allah , and his maternal brothers inherit their shares, and the remainder goes to the former masters of his mother, if she was a freed slave woman. But if she was of Arab descent, she inherits her share, his maternal brothers inherit their shares, and whatever remains belongs to the Muslims.
