I threw a stone at two birds while I was at Jurf and struck them both. One of them died, so Abdullah bin Umar threw it away. As for the other, Abdullah bin Umar went to slaughter it with an adze, but it died before he could slaughter it, so Abdullah threw that one away as well.

رميت طائرين بحجر وأنا بالجرف فأصبتهما فأما أحدهما فمات فطرحه عبد الله بن عمر وأما الآخر فذهب عبد الله بن عمر يذكيه بقدوم فمات قبل أن يذكيه فطرحه عبد الله أيضا
