A woman came to Abdullah bin Abbas and said, "I vowed that I would sacrifice my son."Ibn Abbas told her, "Do not sacrifice your son. Make expiation for your oath instead."An older man sitting with Ibn Abbas asked, "How can there be any expiation in a case like this?"Ibn Abbas replied, "Allah Almighty said, 'And those among you who put their wives away by declaring them like their mothers' [Mujadila 58:3], and then He prescribed for it the expiation that you well know."
و حدثني عن مالك عن يحيى بن سعيد
أتت امرأة إلى عبد الله بن عباس فقالت إني نذرت أن أنحر ابني فقال ابن عباس لا تنحري ابنك وكفري عن يمينك فقال شيخ عند ابن عباس وكيف يكون في هذا كفارة فقال ابن عباس إن الله تعالى قال {والذين يظاهرون} منكم {من نسائهم} ثم جعل فيه من الكفارة ما قد رأيت
