The Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw a man interlacing his fingers during the prayer, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ separated his fingers for him.

[Hasan] Ibn Khuzayma reported it, no. 444, and others, through several routes from Ibn Ajlan with this wording. The narration of Thawri as recorded by Tabarani in Mujam al-Kabir, 19/153, no. 334, explicitly states that he heard it directly.Saeed Maqburi heard it from a man, from Kaab, with this wording. Tirmidhi reported it, no. 386, and others. The man is perhaps Abu Thumama Hannat. Abu Dawud reported it through his route, no. 562, and others. Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, no. 441, as did Ibn Hibban in Ihsan, no. 2036. Its isnad is hasan, and part of the hadith has corroborating narrations in Ibn Khuzayma, Hakim, and others.
