[Hasan]Abu Miqdam Hisham bin Ziyad is a discarded narrator (per Taqrib), and the hadith has another defect noted by Muslim in the introduction to his Sahih (9:6). He was followed by someone equally discarded, Salih bin Hassan, as found in Ibn Majah, hadith 1181, and elsewhere, and in Abu Dawud, hadith 694, and elsewhere, the one who narrates from Muhammad bin Kaab. The two of them also have another obscure and daif path containing Abdul-Malik bin Muhammad and Abdullah bin Yaqub, both unidentified narrators, with Abdullah bin Yaqub's condition being unknown. It also has a hasan path in Tabarani's Awsat (6:118), hadith 5242.
