The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no contagion, no evil omen, and no superstition about owls."An Arabi man stood up and asked, "Messenger of Allah, what do you say about a camel that develops mange and then infects the entire herd?"He replied, "That is divine decree. Who, then, gave mange to the first one?"

قال رسول الله ﷺ لا عدوى ولا طيرة ولا هامة فقام إليه رجل أعرابي فقال يا رسول الله أرأيت البعير يكون به الجرب فيجرب الإبل كلها قال ذلكم القدر فمن أجرب الأول
[A sahih hadith] Ahmad narrated it in 24/2, 25 from Waki, with the same wording, and it is found in Musannaf Ibn Abu Shayba 9/39, 40.Yahya bin Abu Hayya was graded daif by the scholars due to his extensive tadlis, and his father is unknown (Taqrib).This hadith will come again, repeated as no. 3540.
