The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When the reciter says 'Ameen,' say 'Ameen' as well, for whoever's 'Ameen' coincides with the 'Ameen' of the angels will have his past sins forgiven."
حدثنا بكر بن خلف وجميل بن الحسن قالا حدثنا عبد الأعلى حدثنا معمر ح و حدثنا أحمد بن عمرو بن السرح المصري وهاشم بن القاسم الحراني قالا حدثنا عبد الله بن وهب عن يونس جميعا عن الزهري عن سعيد بن المسيب وأبي سلمة بن عبد الرحمن
قال رسول الله ﷺ إذا أمن القارئ فأمنوا فمن وافق تأمينه تأمين الملائكة غفر له ما تقدم من ذنبه
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Adhan, Chapter on the imam saying "Amin" aloud, hadith no. 780, and Muslim narrated it in the Book of Prayer, Chapter on saying "Sami Allahu liman hamidah," "Rabbana wa laka al-hamd," and "Amin," hadith no. 410, both from the hadith of Zuhri, with this wording.
