A man asked him, "Should I recite while the imam is reciting?"He replied, "A man asked the Prophet ﷺ, 'Is there recitation in every prayer?' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Yes.' Then a man from the people said, 'This has been settled.'"

سأله رجل فقال أقرأ والإمام يقرأ فقال سأل رجل النبي ﷺ أفي كل صلاة قراءة فقال رسول الله ﷺ نعم فقال رجل من القوم وجب هذا
[Its chain of transmission is daif]. Bayhaqi narrated it in his book on recitation, no. 357 (Pakistan edition), from the hadith of Ishaq bin Sulayman, through this route, and Busiri said, "This chain contains Muawiya bin Yahya Sadafi, Abu Rawh, and he is daif."
