The Prophet ﷺ used to recite in the Maghrib prayer "Say, O you who disbelieve" and "Say, He is Allah, the One."
حدثنا أحمد بن بديل حدثنا حفص بن غياث حدثنا عبيد الله عن نافع
كان النبي ﷺ يقرأ في المغرب قل يا أيها الكافرون وقل هو الله أحد
[Its chain is daif] It was narrated by Khatib, 4/49, from the hadith of Ahmad bin Budayl through the same route. Ibn Adi said, "He reported hadiths from Hafs bin Ghiyath and others that were rejected as coming from him, and he is among those whose hadith is recorded despite his weakness." Abu Zura Razi, Daraqutni, and others cast doubt on this hadith (Tahzib Kamal and others), and the criticism takes precedence.
