Whoever wishes to meet Allah tomorrow as a Muslim, let him be diligent in observing these five prayers wherever the call to them is made, for they are among the practices of guidance. Allah has prescribed for your Prophet ﷺ the practices of guidance. By my life, if every one of you were to pray in his own house, you would have abandoned the way of your Prophet, and if you abandoned the way of your Prophet, you would surely go astray.I remember a time when no one stayed away from the congregational prayer except a hypocrite whose hypocrisy was well known. I have seen a man being supported between two others until he was made to stand in the row. There is no man who purifies himself, doing so well, then heads to the mosque and prays in it, except that for every step he takes, Allah raises him by one degree and erases from him one sin.
[Hasan] Ahmad: 1/382 narrated it from Ibrahim's hadith, through this chain. Ibrahim bin Muslim Hijri is daif in hadith, as stated in Tahdhib and elsewhere, but Ali bin Aqmar corroborated him, as found in Ahmad: 1/414, 415.
