The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When the prayer is called, do not come to it rushing. Come walking with calm and dignity. Whatever you catch, pray it, and whatever you miss, complete it."
حدثنا أبو مروان العثماني محمد بن عثمان حدثنا إبراهيم بن سعد عن ابن شهاب عن سعيد بن المسيب وأبي سلمة
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال إذا أقيمت الصلاة فلا تأتوها وأنتم تسعون وأتوها تمشون وعليكم السكينة فما أدركتم فصلوا وما فاتكم فأتموا
Muslim narrated it in Sahih Muslim, chapter "The recommendation of approaching prayer with dignity and calm, etc.," hadith no. 602, from the hadith of Ibrahim with this same chain.
