One of my paternal uncles prepared food for the Prophet ﷺ and said to him, "I would love for you to eat in my house and pray in it."So he came, and in the house was one of these old mats. He instructed that a section of it be swept and sprinkled with water, then he prayed and we prayed with him.Abu Abdullah bin Majah said, "The fahl is a reed mat that has turned black with age."

صنع بعض عمومتي للنبي ﷺ طعاما فقال للنبي ﷺ إني أحب أن تأكل في بيتي وتصلي فيه قال فأتاه وفي البيت فحل من هذه الفحول فأمر بناحية منه فكنس ورش فصلى وصلينا معه قال أبو عبد الله بن ماجة الفحل هو الحصير الذي قد اسود
