Mahmud bin Rabi reported,

He had remembered a mouthful of water that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had spat from a bucket into a well of theirs.Itban bin Malik al-Salimi, who was the imam of his people, the Banu Salim, and who had witnessed Badr with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, said, "I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, 'Messenger of Allah ﷺ, my eyesight has begun to fail me, and the floodwaters come and cut me off from my people's mosque, making it difficult for me to cross over. So if you would come to me and pray in my house at a spot I could take as a place of prayer, please do so.'"He replied, "I will do so."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ and Abu Bakr came the next morning after the day had grown hot, and he asked permission to enter, which I granted him. He did not sit down until he asked, "Where in your house would you like me to pray for you?" So I pointed out to him the spot where I wished to pray. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood, and we lined up behind him, and he led us in a prayer of two units. Then I detained him for some khazirah that was being prepared for them.

عن محمود بن الربيع الأنصاري

وكان قد عقل مجة مجها رسول الله ﷺ من دلو في بئر لهم عن عتبان بن مالك السالمي وكان إمام قومه بني سالم وكان شهد بدرا مع رسول الله ﷺ قال جئت رسول الله ﷺ فقلت يا رسول الله ﷺ إني قد أنكرت من بصري وإن السيل يأتي فيحول بيني وبين مسجد قومي ويشق علي اجتيازه فإن رأيت أن تأتيني فتصلي في بيتي مكانا أتخذه مصلى فافعل قال أفعل فغدا رسول الله ﷺ وأبو بكر بعد ما اشتد النهار واستأذن فأذنت له ولم يجلس حتى قال أين تحب أن أصلي لك من بيتك فأشرت له إلى المكان الذي أحب أن أصلي فيه فقام رسول الله ﷺ وصففنا خلفه فصلى بنا ركعتين ثم احتبسته على خزيرة تصنع لهم
