The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever departs from this world in sincerity to Allah alone, worshipping Him with no partner beside Him, establishing the prayer and paying zakat, dies with Allah pleased with him."Anas said, "This is the religion of Allah which the messengers brought and conveyed from their Lord, before the clamor of conflicting reports and the divergence of desires. The confirmation of this is in the Book of Allah, in the last of what was revealed. Allah says, 'But if they repent'" and he explained this as casting off the idols and their worship, "'and establish the prayer and pay the zakat'" [Tawbah 9:5]. "And He says in another verse, 'But if they repent and establish the prayer and pay the zakat, then they are your brothers in religion'" [Tawbah 9:11].Abu Hatim reported to us, Ubaydullah bin Musa Absi reported to us, Abu Jafar Razi reported to us from Rabi bin Anas the same account.

[Daif]Tabari transmitted it in his Tafsir (6/320, on Tawbah 9:5), through the hadith of Abu Jafar, with this wording. Hakim graded it sahih (2/332), Munziri graded it hasan by his symbol, while Busiri graded it daif. Its narrators are considered reliable by the majority, but Ibn Hibban said about Rabi bin Anas, "People are wary of his hadith when it comes through the transmission of Abu Jafar from him, because there is considerable confusion in his hadiths transmitted through him" (al-Thiqat).
