The Prophet ﷺ performed the ritual bath from major impurity and noticed a small spot that the water had not reached. So he took the wet locks of his hair and moistened the spot with them.Ishaq said in his version of the hadith, "He squeezed his hair over it."
حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة وإسحق بن منصور قالا حدثنا يزيد بن هارون أنبأنا مستلم بن سعيد عن أبي علي الرحبي عن عكرمة
أن النبي ﷺ اغتسل من جنابة فرأى لمعة لم يصبها الماء فقال بجمته فبلها عليها قال إسحق في حديثه فعصر شعره عليها
[Daif] Busiri said, "This isnad is daif. Abu Ali Rahbi, whose name is Husayn bin Qays, is unanimously agreed to be daif." It has a daif corroborating narration in the Maraseel of Abu Dawud, no. 7, and in Musannaf Ibn Abu Shayba (1/41, no. 444).
