Abdullah bin Abbas reported,

The Prophet ﷺ said regarding a man who has intercourse with his wife while she is menstruating, "He should give a Dinar or half a Dinar in charity."

[Its chain of transmission is sahih] Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Purification, Chapter on Approaching a Menstruating Woman, no. 264, from the hadith of Yahya, and Ahmad, Hakim, Dhahabi, and others graded it sahih.
