A woman asked Ayesha whether a menstruating woman must make up the prayers she missed.Ayesha replied, "Are you a Haruriyyah? We used to menstruate during the time of the Prophet ﷺ and then become pure, and he did not order us to make up the prayers."
Bukhari transmitted it in the book of Menstruation, chapter, "The menstruating woman does not make up the prayer," hadith 321, from the hadith of Qatada. Muslim also transmitted it in the book of Menstruation, chapter, "The obligation of making up fasts for the menstruating woman but not the prayer," hadith 335, from the hadith of Muaza, with the same chain.
