He said, "I asked whether the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ever performed the supererogatory prayer while on a journey, but I could not find anyone to inform me, until Umm Hani bint Abu Talib told me that he came in the year of the Conquest and ordered that a screen be set up for him. So a screen was placed for him, and he bathed, then prayed eight units of supererogatory prayer."

أنه قال سألت أن رسول الله ﷺ سبح في سفر فلم أجد أحدا يخبرني حتى أخبرتني أم هانئ بنت أبي طالب أنه قدم عام الفتح فأمر بستر فستر عليه فاغتسل ثم سبح ثماني ركعات
