The Prophet ﷺ said, "The five daily prayers, Friday prayer to Friday prayer, and the discharge of the trust are an expiation for what lies between them."I asked, "What is the discharge of the trust?"He replied, "The bath after major ritual impurity, for beneath every hair there is impurity."

أن النبي ﷺ قال الصلوات الخمس والجمعة إلى الجمعة وأداء الأمانة كفارة لما بينها قلت وما أداء الأمانة قال غسل الجنابة فإن تحت كل شعرة جنابة
[hasan] Reported by Tabarani in al-Kabir (4/155, no. 398) from the hadith of Hisham bin Ammar with this chain. Diya included it in al-Mukhtarah, and see, vol. 355, regarding the status of the chain. The following hadith serves as a corroborating witness for part of it.
