An Arabi came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Allah, have mercy on me and on Muhammad, and do not include anyone else with us in Your mercy."The Prophet ﷺ said, "You have restricted something vast. Woe to you," or, "Pity on you."Then the man began to urinate in the mosque. The companions of the Prophet ﷺ exclaimed, "Stop! Stop!"But the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Leave him alone." Then he called for a bucket of water and poured it over the spot.

جاء أعرابي إلى النبي ﷺ فقال اللهم ارحمني ومحمدا ولا تشرك في رحمتك إيانا أحدا فقال لقد حظرت واسعا ويحك أو ويلك قال فشج يبول فقال أصحاب النبي ﷺ مه فقال رسول الله ﷺ دعوه ثم دعا بسجل من ماء فصب عليه

[Hasan]Sindi said, quoting from Busiri, "The isnad of the hadith of Wathila bin Asqa is daif, since they agree that Ubaydullah Hudhali is daif. He is matruk al-hadith (his hadith is discarded), as stated in Taqrib and other works. The preceding hadith serves as a corroborating witness for it."
