The Prophet ﷺ was asked about the watering basins between Mecca and Medina, which were frequented by wild beasts, dogs, and donkeys, and whether it was permissible to use their water for purification.He said, "Whatever they have carried away in their bellies is theirs, and what remains is pure for us."
