The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform ablution for every prayer, while we would pray all the prayers with a single ablution.
حدثنا سويد بن سعيد حدثنا شريك عن عمرو بن عامر
كان رسول الله ﷺ يتوضأ لكل صلاة وكنا نحن نصلي الصلوات كلها بوضوء واحد
Bukhari transmitted it in the Book of Wudu, the chapter on performing wudu without having any impurity, hadith no. 214, from the hadith of Amr, in a shortened form.
