He testified that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ate food that had been touched by fire, then prayed without performing ablution. Ali bin Abdullah bin Abbas said, "And I testify the same regarding my father."
حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن إبراهيم الدمشقي حدثنا الوليد بن مسلم حدثنا الأوزاعي حدثنا الزهري قال حضرت عشاء الوليد أو عبد الملك فلما حضرت الصلاة قمت لأتوضأ فقال جعفر بن عمرو بن أمية أشهد
أنه شهد على رسول الله ﷺ أنه أكل طعاما مما غيرت النار ثم صلى ولم يتوضأ وقال علي بن عبد الله بن عباس وأنا أشهد على أبي بمثل ذلك
Bukhari narrated it in "Wudu," chapter "One who did not perform wudu after eating sheep's meat or barley porridge," no. 208, and elsewhere, and Muslim in "Menstruation," chapter "The abrogation of wudu due to what fire has touched," no. 355, from the hadith of Zuhri, through the same chain.
