He used to place his hands over his ears and say, "May they go deaf if I did not hear the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Perform ablution after eating what fire has touched.'"

كان يضع يديه على أذنيه ويقول صمتا إن لم أكن سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول توضئوا مما مست النار
[Its chain is extremely daif] Khalid bin Yazid was declared a liar by Ibn Main regarding what he narrates from his father, and the majority of scholars considered him daif. Busiri said, "He was not alone in narrating this hadith," meaning this particular hadith.
