Ibn Abbas came to me and asked about this hadith, meaning the hadith she had mentioned in which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed ablution and washed his feet.Ibn Abbas said, "The people refuse anything but washing, yet I find in the Book of Allah nothing but wiping."

[Its chain of transmission is daif] and Busiri graded it hasan. There are several routes for the report of Ibn Abbas (see Tafsir Ibn Kathir 2/25 and others). Perhaps he came back to the view of the majority when he said, "I returned to ghusl" (also, p. 24).Ibn Aqeel is daif, previously mentioned, hadith 390.
