The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed ablution and wiped his head twice.

Its chain of transmission is daif. Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Purification, chapter on the description of the Prophet's ablution, hadith 126, from the hadith of Ibn Aqeel, at length. The meaning of the hadith is that he began with the front of his head, this being one pass, then the back of his head, this being a second pass.Ibn Aqeel has been mentioned before, hadith 390.
