The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever asks Allah for Paradise three times, Paradise says, 'O Allah, admit him into Paradise.' And whoever seeks refuge from the Fire three times, the Fire says, 'O Allah, protect him from the Fire.'"
حدثنا هناد بن السري حدثنا أبو الأحوص عن أبي إسحق عن يزيد بن أبي مريم
قال رسول الله ﷺ من سأل الجنة ثلاث مرات قالت الجنة اللهم أدخله الجنة ومن استجار من النار ثلاث مرات قالت النار اللهم أجره من النار
[Sahih] Reported by Tirmidhi, Description of Paradise, chapter on the description of the rivers of Paradise, no. 2572, from Hannad, with this wording. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih (Mawarid, no. 2433), as did Hakim (1/535) and Dhahabi. It has corroborating narrations, including one reported by Ibn Hibban in his Sahih (Ihsan, 2/178, no. 1010) and others, and through these the hadith is established as sahih.
