I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Paradise has one hundred levels, the distance between each level is like the distance between the heavens and the earth. The highest of them is Firdaws, and the middle of them is Firdaws, and the Throne rests above Firdaws. From it the rivers of Paradise gush forth. So when you ask Allah, ask Him for Firdaws."
Graded sahih. Tirmidhi narrated it in the chapter on the description of Paradise, the section on what has been said about the description of the levels of Paradise, hadith 2530, from the hadith of Zayd, at length, and Ata said that he did not meet Muaz bin Jabal. It has a corroborating narration in Tirmidhi, hadith 2531, and its chain is hasan. Ata bin Yasar narrated something similar from Abu Hurairah (Bukhari), and Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Amra narrated it from Abu Hurairah (Ahmad, 2/335, 339).
