The Prophet ﷺ said, "The Fire will consume the son of Adam except for the marks of prostration. Allah has forbidden the Fire from consuming the marks of prostration."
حدثنا محمد بن عبادة الواسطي حدثنا يعقوب بن محمد الزهري حدثنا إبراهيم بن سعد عن الزهري عن عطاء بن يزيد
عن النبي ﷺ قال تأكل النار ابن آدم إلا أثر السجود حرم الله على النار أن تأكل أثر السجود
Bukhari transmitted it in the Book of Tawhid, chapter, "The saying of Allah Most High, 'Some faces on that Day will be radiant, looking at their Lord'," hadith 7437, and Muslim, in the Book of Faith, chapter on knowledge of the way of seeing Allah, hadith 182/29, from the narration of Ibrahim bin Saad, through him, at greater length.
