We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on one of his military expeditions when he passed by a group of people and asked, "Who are these people?"They replied, "We are Muslims."Among them was a woman tending to the fire of her oven, and with her was her young son. Whenever the heat of the oven rose intensely, she would draw him away from it.She came to the Prophet ﷺ and asked, "Are you the Messenger of Allah?"He answered, "Yes."She said, "May my father and mother be ransomed for you. Is Allah not the Most Merciful of those who show mercy?"He replied, "Indeed He is."She continued, "And is Allah not more merciful to His servants than a mother is to her child?"He said, "Yes."She said, "A mother would never throw her child into the fire."At this, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ bent down and wept. Then he raised his head to her and said, "Allah does not punish any of His servants except the rebellious one who defies Allah and refuses to say, 'There is no god but Allah.'"
حدثنا هشام بن عمار حدثنا إبراهيم بن أعين حدثنا إسمعيل بن يحيى الشيباني عن عبد الله بن عمر بن حفص عن نافع
كنا مع رسول الله ﷺ في بعض غزواته فمر بقوم فقال من القوم فقالوا نحن المسلمون وامرأة تحصب تنورها ومعها ابن لها فإذا ارتفع وهج التنور تنحت به فأتت النبي ﷺ فقالت أنت رسول الله قال نعم قالت بأبي أنت وأمي أليس الله بأرحم الراحمين قال بلى قالت أوليس الله بأرحم بعباده من الأم بولدها قال بلى قالت فإن الأم لا تلقي ولدها في النار فأكب رسول الله ﷺ يبكي ثم رفع رأسه إليها فقال إن الله لا يعذب من عباده إلا المارد المتمرد الذي يتمرد على الله وأبى أن يقول لا إله إلا الله

[Its chain of transmission is fabricated] Aqeeli reported it: 1/96, from the hadith of Hisham, transmitted through him, and it was reported from Yazid bin Harun that he said, "Ismail Shuayri was a liar." It also has another flaw.
