The Prophet ﷺ said, "When the deceased is placed in the grave, the sun appears before him as it does at sunset. He sits up, rubs his eyes, and says, 'Let me pray.'"
[Sahih] Ibn Abu Asim narrated it in Sunnah, no. 867, from the hadith of Ismail bin Hafs, with this chain, and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, no. 779, and Busiri graded it hasan provided that Abu Sufyan heard it from Jabir. It has a corroborating witness with Bayhaqi in Ithbat Azab Qabr, vol. 64, in my edition, and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, no. 781, and Hakim, 1/379, 380, said it meets the conditions of Muslim, and Dhahabi agreed with him, and its chain of transmission is hasan, as Haythami said in Majma, 3/52.
