The Prophet ﷺ said, "The deceased is brought to the grave. The righteous man sits up in his grave without fear or alarm. Then he is asked, 'What religion did you follow?'He replies, 'I was upon Islam.'He is asked, 'Who is this man?'He answers, 'Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He came to us with clear proofs from Allah, and we believed him.'He is asked, 'Have you seen Allah?'He says, 'It is not fitting for anyone to see Allah.'Then an opening is made for him toward the Fire, and he looks at it, parts of it crashing into other parts. He is told, 'Look at what Allah has protected you from.' Then an opening is made for him toward Paradise, and he gazes at its splendor and all that is within it. He is told, 'This is your place.' He is also told, 'You lived upon certainty, you died upon it, and upon it you will be resurrected, if Allah wills.'The wicked man sits up in his grave fearful and alarmed. He is asked, 'What religion did you follow?'He says, 'I do not know.'He is asked, 'Who is this man?'He says, 'I heard people saying something, so I said it too.'Then an opening is made for him toward Paradise, and he gazes at its splendor and all that is within it. He is told, 'Look at what Allah has turned away from you.' Then an opening is made for him toward the Fire, and he looks at it, parts of it crashing into other parts. He is told, 'This is your place. You lived upon doubt, you died upon it, and upon it you will be resurrected, if Allah Most High wills.'"
حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة حدثنا شبابة عن ابن أبي ذئب عن محمد بن عمرو بن عطاء عن سعيد بن يسار
عن النبي ﷺ قال إن الميت يصير إلى القبر فيجلس الرجل الصالح في قبره غير فزع ولا مشعوف ثم يقال له فيم كنت فيقول كنت في الإسلام فيقال له ما هذا الرجل فيقول محمد رسول الله ﷺ جاءنا بالبينات من عند الله فصدقناه فيقال له هل رأيت الله فيقول ما ينبغي لأحد أن يرى الله فيفرج له فرجة قبل النار فينظر إليها يحطم بعضها بعضا فيقال له انظر إلى ما وقاك الله ثم يفرج له قبل الجنة فينظر إلى زهرتها وما فيها فيقال له هذا مقعدك ويقال له على اليقين كنت وعليه مت وعليه تبعث إن شاء الله ويجلس الرجل السوء في قبره فزعا مشعوفا فيقال له فيم كنت فيقول لا أدري فيقال له ما هذا الرجل فيقول سمعت الناس يقولون قولا فقلته فيفرج له قبل الجنة فينظر إلى زهرتها وما فيها فيقال له انظر إلى ما صرف الله عنك ثم يفرج له فرجة قبل النار فينظر إليها يحطم بعضها بعضا فيقال له هذا مقعدك على الشك كنت وعليه مت وعليه تبعث إن شاء الله تعالى
