Abdullah bin Masud reported,

A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and mentioned that he had kissed a woman unlawfully. He kept asking about its expiation, but the Prophet ﷺ said nothing to him. Then Allah revealed, "And establish prayer at the two ends of the day and during parts of the night. Indeed, good deeds wipe away bad deeds. That is a reminder for those who remember" [Hud 11:114].The man asked, "Messenger of Allah, is this for me alone?"He replied, "It is for whoever among my community acts upon it."

عن ابن مسعود

أن رجلا أتى النبي ﷺ فذكر أنه أصاب من امرأة قبلة فجعل يسأل عن كفارتها فلم يقل له شيئا فأنزل الله عز وجل {وأقم الصلاة طرفي النهار وزلفا من الليل إن الحسنات يذهبن السيئات ذلك ذكرى للذاكرين} فقال الرجل يا رسول الله ألي هذه فقال هي لمن عمل بها من أمتي
