The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The lifespans of my nation range between sixty and seventy years, and few among them exceed that."
حدثنا الحسن بن عرفة حدثني عبد الرحمن بن محمد المحاربي عن محمد بن عمرو عن أبي سلمة
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال أعمار أمتي ما بين الستين إلى السبعين وأقلهم من يجوز ذلك
Graded hasan. Reported by Tirmidhi, Duas, chapter on the ages of my nation being between sixty and seventy, hadith no. 3550, from Hasan bin Arafah with this wording, and he said it is gharib hasan. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, no. 2467, as did Hakim, who said it meets the conditions of Muslim, 2/427, and Dhahabi agreed with him. Ibn Manda said in Tawhid, "This chain is hasan and well known from Muharibi." It has a corroborating narration in Tirmidhi, hadith no. 2331, where he said, "Hasan gharib."
